Taylor Swift announced on Thursday the debut of a second video for her single “Delicate.” The brand-new video will be exclusive to Spotify and is expected to arrive on the streaming service at midnight Eastern time.
Swift took to Twitter to share the news with her more than 85 million followers. “I’m at rehearsals for the Reputation Stadium Tour,” the singer said in a video message. “And I just wanted to let you know that there’s a brand-new video for ‘Delicate’ coming out only on Spotify tonight. So check it out!”

Swift’s representatives did not immediately return Newsweek’s request for comment, and Spotify declined to provide further details on this announcement. But Spotify CEO and co-founder Daniel Ek expressed his excitement for the duo’s partnership. He retweeted Swift’s original message and added three flame emojis.
Swift premiered the first music video for “Delicate” on March 11 at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. It depicts the singer as a celebrity who suddenly becomes invisible. This newfound power leads Swift to burst into a dance routine.
The original “Delicate” video, which has generated more than 77 million views on YouTube to date, received criticism from fans. Swift and “Delicate” director Joseph Kahn were accused of ripping off a Kenzo perfume ad directed by Spike Jonze. Both videos show a young woman rebelling by spontaneously breaking into dance.
By premiering a new version of “Delicate,” Swift might alleviate fans’ disappointment. It hasn’t been confirmed what fans can expect to see with her Spotify-exclusive version, however.
Swift’s video for Spotify comes after she pulled her entire catalog from streaming services in 2014. “It’s my opinion that music should not be free,” she said at the time. “And my prediction is that individual artists and their labels will someday decide what an album’s price point is.”
But Swift rejoined streaming services, including Spotify, in June 2017.
The singer isn’t the first artist to release a music video on Spotify. Singer Selena Gomez, a pal of Swift’s, premiered a vertical music video of single “Bad Liar” exclusively on Spotify in May 2017. This made Gomez the first singer to debut a music video on the popular music streaming service.
