For the last few days, Facebook has been in news for the facing an investigation by the Federal Trade Commission and calls for legislative testimonies in the US and Europe. Reports alleged that personal data from as many as 50 million people might have been used improperly in Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign by Cambridge Analytica, a UK-based political research firm.
Amidst a global outrage against Facebook, the Silicon Valley-based company, which currently has 2 billion monthly active users, has suffered a loss of USD 50 billion in market value. Actor-director Farhan Akhtar seems to be scared about the Facebook data breach and has permanently deleted his personal Facebook account.
Farhan took to Twitter on Tuesday morning and wrote, ” Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active.”

On work front, Farhan Akhtar is gearing for Don 3. DNA After Hrs sources earlier revealed, “Farhan will also act in this film. He will play a desi top cop to Shah Rukh’s Don. Since a portion of the film will be set in India, Farhan will be seen donning the policeman’s uniform in the film.” Previously, there were talks about him playing Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s role in ‘Raees’, but that didn’t materialise then.
