Jimmy’s Famous Seafood offers crabcakes for life to Allen Robinson II if he signs with Ravens

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood is offering another athlete a tasty incentive (read: bribe) to come to Baltimore.

The seafood restaurant tweeted wide receiver Allen Robinson II, formerly of the Jacksonville Jaguars, on Saturday, emphasizing how much the Ravens “really, really need” receivers.

“They’ll likely be calling you to offer you a job soon. When they do, please accept. If you say yes, we promise you free crab cakes for life. K thanks,” the restaurant wrote to the free agent.

But Robinson is not the first to be offered unlimited crabcakes. It should be noted that Jimmy’s “crab cakes for life” deal has historically been either a strategic sports tactic to get free agents on local teams or simply a gracious show of support.

Ravens wide receiver Jeremy Maclin; Orioles players Manny Machado and Chris Davis (and his children and future grandchildren); WWE superstar Roman Reigns; Yoenis Cespedes, who now plays for the New York Mets; and Sacramento Kings player Justin Jackson, who formerly played for the North Carolina Tar Heels, have all received similar offers.
