School divisions in Northern Virginia are preparing students for impacts to the schedule on Monday as crews continue to work to restore power in communities hit by Friday’s strong winds.
All Fauquier County Public Schools and Offices will be delayed 2 hours Monday March 5. The school division will reassess the situation in the morning. Check for updates.
Prince William County Public Schools will open 2 hours late on Monday, March 5, to help PW County manage post-storm traffic issues, and allow inspection of all schools. SACC will open 2 hours late. Patriot HS and T. Clay Wood ES remain without power. Monitor web, email, and social media for status of those schools. Check for updates.
Fairfax County public schools and offices will open on time Monday, March 5, 2018. However, the seven schools listed below remain without power and will be closed tomorrow. Parents with concerns for their students always have the option to keep their student home for an excused absence if they believe conditions are unsafe for their child.

The following activities in these seven schools only are canceled on Monday March 5:
* School age child care (SACC) centers closed.
* extracurricular activities.
* interscholastic contests.
* team practices.
* field trips.
* middle school after-school programs.
* professional learning and training courses.
* adult and community education classes.
* recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS.
